NOPPERABO The Faceless Yokai by Unbox Japan for Online Release Feb 15th
"Nopperabo is a Japanese yokai ghost without a face, resembling a human apart from lacking eyes, nose and a mouth. Nopperabo are not evil spirits and only scare people by their eerie appearance. It is a tragic fate for a spirit that means no harm, so perhaps a Nopperabo child would like to appear a little more like the local villagers to join in their fun and games. All it takes is a pencil and the classic Japanese “へのへのもへじ” (henohenomoheji) face to make him ready to strike out and make some new friends!"
Created by Unbox Japan, we first saw NOPPERABO in it's smaller soft vinyl incarnation as part of the line-up in "Unbox & Friends Wave 2", since upsized to a (approx.) 6-inch tall vinyl figure possessing 5 points of articulation!
Scheduled for an online debut are two versions of this character: WITH a face, and a FACELESS version! Both priced at US$28 each, dropping Saturday February 15th (HKT: 23:00PM)!
