MUERTO MOUSE Release & Gallery Show from Jorge Gutierrez @ 3D Retro (March 14/2020)
UPDATED: The in-store signing event has been postponed due to "current world events" (read more @mexopolis), but the online release on Saturday at noon PST will continue thru.
"Muerto Mouse" was first seen as part of "Dia De Tus Muertos" art show at Gallery Subtext, and subsequently on the poster for artist, writer and director (from Tijuana and Mexico) Jorge Gutierrez's first ever solo show: "Border Bang!" in 2016. And then there was this animated feature Jorge directed: 2014's award winning "The Book of Life"!
Fast forward to a scheduled Saturday March 14th Release and Gallery Party at 3D Retro (Facebook Events page), folks'll will see the first 50pcs of his MUERTO MOUSE vinyl figure released and coming n with a "special print"!
This exclusive edition retails for US$80 and will be available online on 3dretro.com on March 15th!
Also available are original art work from Jorge and prints available for purchase. The artist of course will be in attendance!
I've scoured thru the artist's Insta @mexopolis for a variety of images to share (*although I was earnestly looking for a picture of the BACK of the figure :p), including a quartet of (future releases???) "editions", including a Glow-in-the-dark?
