I have been very intrigued with this particular aspect of the blog = WHAT do folks want to read about and how it "interacts" with the readers (as mentioned in my video), and I have been waiting until this last moment/day of 2020 on December 31st to find out "WHO"! Hong Kong-based UNBOX INDUSTRIES has been steadfast in their product releases (both Licensed and with individual indie artists), without the hassle of long wait times (it seems), and I continue to look forward to what they'll offer collectors moving forward - with a quick preview of what's coming in the montage above (images off their Insta).

Of course I was beyond proud of myself TBH, and most times since, I wished I could organise contests such as this on TOYSREVIL, being able to let contestants perhaps showcase their talents beyond what folks normally see in their products (*I've always loved "diversity"), and have continued to do so in numerous contests on TOYSREVIL thru the years too, until interests dwindled drastically (both in participants and sponsors), and I've come to grudgingly accept that folks no longer am interested, at least on TOYSREVIL, so time to move on.

FROM JIM DREAMS X UNBOX INDUSTRIES had been one of the more "prolific" features on TOYSREVIL - as I have still been fielded DMs from folks seeking to buy the collectible (Released and Sold Out in May 2020)! Oh man, wished I carried figure such as this, at the very least I could at least earn a semblance of a "living", beyond the "free-promotions-nature" of this blog...!

You really cannot deny pop culture and cultural mash-ups...!

>>> ABOUT THOSE KAWS BOOTLEG TOYS (COMPARISON IMAGES BETWEEN ORIGINAL & FAKE) (April 2012) - I remembered seeing this post pop up pretty often too even before I started the TOP TEN-list, with a tons of folks wanting to see comparisons between bootlegs (that are littered everywhere) and the real deal, and have received numerous queries for other KAWS products thru the year too, but alas have become a rarity to come across, and especially so when bootlegs have upped their game, perhaps?
One aspect of this "bootleg" situation had bled into my bloglife as well, with a Cease & Desist leading to an actual deletion on an Instagram upload (by IG themselves) on my stream, when I had posted montaged images of customised KAWS bootlegs for group shows! I chose not to fight the accusation of "promoting bootlegs", as it might open up others in this situation, but I've always felt it's really kind B.S., to be honest ... but has certainly led me to be more mindful of what I choose to post online. "Just Toys", you say? ~ LOL

STOP-MOTION STORYBOOK SEQUENCE FOR IT'S OKAY TO NOT TO BE OKAY (June 2020) fascinated me the first time I saw the sequence in Episode One of the South Korean drama, and subsequently finding out Stop-motion animator & Arttoy figure maker Osho Rino (@oshorino) did the animation himself (for his own CO "for Comma Studio"), was a icing on the cake, an a joy to post about! Here's a look at the finished opening, while the link above showcases generous behind-the-scenes making-of clips!
As well the blog-feature showcases illustration art by @jamsan_art for the show (as well as the basis for the stop-motion opening), since made available as actual/physical fairytale books from ""Koo Moon Young"!

MARVEL STUDIOS' BLACK WIDOW: FINAL TRAILER & NEW POSTER has remained strong on the Top Ten (since it's March 2020 feature), in anticipation of it's "29th April 2021" premiere in Singapore, while folks in USA will get to savour the til on May 7th, 2021.
We've all waited a year for it, and it looks to be worth the wait :)
With the current course alteration of some studio feature films focusing on streaming services divergence due to the global pandemic (*Warner Bros films going to both Theaters and HBO Max, while Disney+ will be featuring tons of Marvel Studio content in the years coming), I certainly would welcome a online availability of BLACK WIDOW, with Disney+ launching in Singapore in starting February 23rd!

I've since shared my impressions of the 12-episoder, along with incessant coverage on TOYSREVIL...!
Also very interestingly, only 4 out of the 10 listed blog-features involved (designer) toys ("5" if you included the ambiguous Paper Toy), with the rest being entertainment-based news, which for a period of time was a situation I had been grappling with: "Why does a toy-blog need to feature entertainment?" ... but I also realised that I had done what I had always been doing since the inception on this blog: Featuring BOTH TOYS and ENTERTAINMENT news, and has always been a huge part of what I am interested in showcasing as well.
I had since embraced the idea: "COLLECT ME" and ENTERTAIN ME", and will remain so, moving forward into 2021. If all of this seemed "self-centred", I cannot deny that impression you may have of me ... but if I cannot even interest myself, how much more can I expect others to be interested in what I showcase and feature here?
