Top Ten Blogposts Of All Time on TOYSREVIL (2005-2020)

Being very intrigued about the past weekend's bloghits hitting the highest they have been on TOYSREVIL (*They have been surpassed on Tuesday, as I prepare this post, actually :p), I'd thought to check out and share the ALL TIME TOP TEN blog-features on TOYSREVIL, as recorded on Blogger-stats! And this'll be a perfect #throwbackthursday-post too, so...

And while the TOYSREVIL just celebrated crossing over the "15 year"-mark, Blogger stats itself came into operation somewhen I did not keep track of (when I relied on Sitemeter since the blog's inception, which was still in operation in 2013), so this might not be wholly accurate, but ... the list is as of 1:24PM on March 9/2020, thanks!

#10: McDonald's "Happy Meal" MINIONS from "Despicable Me 2" (2013).

These were purchased at my neighbourhood heartland mall, BEFORE the renovation which we enjoy now, which saw the McDonald's restaurant inside the mall, and the upstairs foodcourt in their old(er) pre-renovated premises.

This is one of TWO "Minion"-themed toynews on the All-time-Top-Ten-on-TOYSREVIL = The Power Of Minions, folks!

#9: Cool Character Mashups with Hello Kitty Model Kit from Joseph Senior (2010), which featured TONS of pop culture character appropriation - which might have been a massive hurdle and "dream" to see made reality, but for the opening up of said "HelloKitty"-licensed since, to witness tons of cross-over products made available to the masses.
"These Hello Kitty mash-ups started out in life as a kind of tribute to George Lucas and Star Wars, and have sort of branched out from there." (mentioned Joseph Senior / View designs here on Flickr).
#8: Prometheus Toys from NECA & Hot Toys (2012) ... unfortunately the link leads to a deleted video, and images since "lost" thanks to a year's worth of Flickr-embeds on the blog that went "dark" because of a technical glitch (on their end), which I have never fully recovered from.

#7: nicebunny's free downloadable hedkase transformers (2007) - from back in the early days of bloggers when I used a whole lot more lowercase than I should LOL

"HEDKASE" was designed by Los Angeles based Freelance motion graphics designer/animator Brian Castleforte (Instagram / Facebook / Twitter) AKA "Nice Bunny", back in the days when "papertoys" was a exceedingly active component of the TOYSREVIL-blog!

#6: In 2017, I featured what I click-baited-named "KAWS v FREENY: A Easter Weekend Toy Drama" whereby Jason Freeny's sculpting his "dissected anatomical skeleton"-aesthetics unto a Kaws Companion elicited tons of commentary (mostly on his Instagram), and quite frankly opened up a whole lot of "misconceptions" of what "customising" means and meant in the toy-scene ....

Not so ironically, a year or so later, I would have one of my Instagram-upload be deleted, with reasons being it being a "promotion of bootlegging" (paraphrasing) - when all it was was a montage of customs by variety off artists, done on a admitted KAWS Companion-bootleg figure (I will not mention the show, but you can figure it out :p)!

I did not contest the C&D, primarily because it was not my work to begin with, and I am just reporting on what's in the scene, but it certainly puts into a (warped) perspective of "bootlegging" and reminding me tons of THIS post and incident, and how folks outside of the toy-scene views and/or reacts to this.

#5: "GODZILLA: King of the Monsters" Q Edition Figures was to be the beginning of my toy-obsession in 2019! At that point in time, I had not the ability to afford anything, and did not actively hunt for these figures, as much as I hunted for information about them, and quite frankly I was swirling in obsession, which lasted four months (!) - until that day when I received one, thanks to @bananavirus in Taiwan!!!

#4: To see my own custom-efforts being on the "Top Ten", is quite frankly "amazing" and overwhelmingly grateful! about my custom 3" black ops dunny was a one-off piece I did in 2007, specifically for Dunny.nl's auction to benefit KiKa (Children's Cancer fund). The piece sold and I don't think I've ever seen it again ever... and I've not attempted customising a Dunny ever since too...

#3: Rotobox Vinyl Anatomica Takes On Chōdenji Machine Voltes V (as apart of their SUPAROBO PROJECT) back in 2010 ... and perhaps now you can understand the connection to this recent blog-feature about the guys "leaving" the toy-scene...

#2: Folks, DO NOT DOUBT the power of MINIONS, with this sole image featured here on "Despicable Me 2" Minions @ McDonalds Singapore-post hitting the all-time-TOP-TWO on TOYSREVIL (and twice on the Top-Ten list).

#1: And so the TOP Ranked+Recorded blogpost on TOYSREVIL for the past 15 years of operations, is not about a toy.

It took the Reveal of RoboCop in 2012, to actually hype myself up for the action figures (NOT the Threezero's version, which I could not afford lol), which quite frankly I have not opened to play with (I don't even know where it is now, to be honest :p) ... so THAT's a weird mix of TOYS and MEDIA on TOYSREVIL...!
