Preview of Customs for "BROKEN BONES" by Klav9

"Broken Bones" is a two person show featuring over 70 all new works from Frank Mysterio (Mexico) and Kevin Derken AKA Klav9. The show opens this Saturday June 26th at Mothership Gallery in Philadelphia, with pieces made available later online at martiantoys.com. Showcased here in this blogpost are select previews of pieces shared with us by @klav9 himself!

"I painted 40 one-offs from a variety of designers and producers in multiple different styles and platforms including Vinyl, Resin, and Sofubi. Pieces are as small as "mini Shark Lord" from Momoco to a massive GIGATEQ (24" tall) from Quiccs."

"The name of the show, BROKEN BONES was a play on both my and Frank's styles. However, it was also a death sentence, last friday night (8 days before the show) I broke my fibula just above my right ankle in an ice hockey game. I am waiting on a decision to see if I need surgery and barely got the show out of my house in time. (I wasn't able to shoot the Giga prior to the break). I will be at the gallery (on crutches) for the opening."
