New MINI EPICS & MICRO EPICS Revealed by Weta Workshop
Revealed and announced during this year's ComicCon@Home (the virtual incarnation of the annual "San Diego Comic Con") from Weta Workshop, is an interesting line-up of licensed characters for there MINI EPICS and MICRO EPICS line (Lines I personally adore but never had a chance to collect any) - including the "Eleven" character figure from Netflix's "Stranger Things" (First season) ... and characters from 1986's LABRYINTH (OMG! The Goblin King? Sarah? Ludo? *GASP*), as well from DARK CRYSTAL (wetanz.com), and a trio of awesome Micro Epics which you can currently pre-order on wetanz.com. - featuring CHAPPIE, POWER LOADER (from ALIEN),and IRON BEAR = all sized less than 3-inches tall...!
Always loving the aesthetic designs - which to me bridges the "commercial licensed" and "indie non-direct" visual translation, which includes "Chibi/Super-Deformed" I(but not "commercial SD", if you get what I mean), and an angular aesthetic that is a opposite foil to the faux-humanoid translation of action figures from the mass-factory labels, IMHO.
