New SOFUBI-MAN(Men) from Max Toy Co: Clear Purple & New Handpainted Version
Brand new SOFUBI-MAN("Men") from Max Toy Co has since launched online via maxtoyco.com, featuring TWO versions of the 6-inch tall Made-in-Japan soft vinyl / sofubi figure.
The CLEAR PURPLE edition is available online here each priced at US$50, while the newest hand-painted edition (seen here) has since been listed as UNAVAILABLE here (Priced at US$60 per4). This version is limited and will not be offered again in this unpainted form, alas. Did you manage to snag this painted version from 2020?

Sofubi-man is sculpted by Cristina Ravenna, with Max Toy coordination by Yo Miyamoto and cast in Tokyo by real Sofubi-men.

But, it wasn't till much later that I found out more about the actual process of making and casting these types of toys.
