KAWS: HOLIDAY SINGAPORE Is Here!
The 7th stop of KAWS:HOLIDAY has landed in the Lion City, with KAWS' 42-meters long COMPANION pair currently lounging on the The Float @ Marina Bay, awaiting for free public gawking and undoubtably photo-ops from November 14th (thru to Nov 21st 2021). Invited VIP-launch is today November 13th, which no doubt there'll be even more images to see online (besides the pre-event snaps I am sharing now). Above snap via @rkrkrk.
And yes, the artist Brian Donnelly is also in town, so that'll be a quite a treat for fans!

UPDATED: The path of KAWS: HOLIDAY SINGAPORE had not the smoothest start ... On Saturday November 13th - the start of the installation with Invited Guests - a court order was served for the show to be closed.
According to report on straitstimes.com, the court papers were served on Saturday (Nov 13) afternoon while the evening's VIP / Invitation night continued. By Sunday November 14th, the installation was reported to be closed.
It was then reported that a "contempt of court proceedings" was served against parties involved in Kaws exhibition, due to the "Invitation Night" cntinuing even afer being served orders.
By Monday evening, the next day, All Rights Reserved posted an image and captions stating the Court had discharged the injunction, and the show will go on.

"The organisers of the Kaws:Holiday showcase in Singapore have been ordered by the court to stop the exhibition.
According to a court order seen by The Straits Times, non-profit organisation The Ryan Foundation (@theryanfoundation) is now suing the organisers AllRightsReserved (@arr.allrightsreserved), a Hong Kong-based creative studio, citing breach of intellectual property rights and breach of confidence."
The event was closed on Sunday, but folks were able to still take pictures from afar (as the installation was in the "open air". The joke headline for the day was "Otters ignore court-ordered halt to admire KAWS: Holiday exhibition at Marina Bay"!
By Monday evening, has posted this on their IG:
"This evening, and after hearing arguments from our legal team, the Court discharged the injunction and ordered @theryanfoundation to pay AllRightsReserved the legal costs. The Court further ordered that there will also be an inquiry into the damages sustained by AllRightsReserved by reason of the injunction. This means that the “KAWS:HOLIDAY” exhibition can now be reopened tomorrow!
AllRightsReserved and《KAWS:HOLIDAY Singapore》welcomes the Court’s judgement today, for justice has prevailed."
The Kaws:Holiday exhibition at The Float @ Marina Bay will now resume on Nov 16th, exhibiting thru November 21st, 2021.
