Welcome to C.R.E.A.M (Cash Rules Everything Around Me), a group show curated by Evan Martinez (@evan_luis_martinez) & Clutter (@cluttermagazine) where invited artists' art for defacing paper money is showcased. With digital payments and emergence of Crypto, would paper monies become a worthless canvas? Upcycle it with ART, folks!
What I really enjoyed about this was that it is not just the U.S. dollar bill(s) being used, I cannot imagine using SG-dollars (paper money still rules MY personal world anyways lol), especially for the coming Chinese Lunar New Year, when even the nation's newspapers have reported folks literally and physically queuing up for hour(s) to exchange brand new dollar notes from our local banks...! LOL
