2022 marks the 15th anniversary of the release of the Sharky, created by Keith Poon in 2007. TOQO [toh•koh] comes together to join the celebration, made it’s first debut at DesignerCon. Now TOQO has been made available online via toyqube.com.
Standing (approx) 10" tall, the VINYL figure is limited to 250pcs this colorway. Each priced at US$145.00, the figure comes in a premium tubular packaging,
TOQO is a fictional child that has become Sharky's sidekick and bestfriend. He lives by the ocean and seeks adventure. His design has evolved to a fresh, new character to be enjoyed by our platform's collectors both old and new.
@keithingp's fascination with sea animals brought Sharky to life in 2000s. Amidst his career progression and personal life, he always had Sharky at the back of his mind and has been in the works of reimagining his original design. He wanted something novel yet familiar to Sharky. Keithing originally saw this character to be a reflection of himself and his childhood. As the design process continued, it also began to reflect his daughter. The thrill of seeking adventure, beauty and the unknown – much like the ocean– is embodied in Keithing’s new design.
We've a previous look on TOYSREVIL at unpainted prototypes, and am excited to see TOQO in color.
A "second" colorway/version was also released last week, in collaboration with JBalvin (whom they've also previously collaborated on with Astro Boy Hoodie), with JBALVIN TOQO made available at ComplexCon.
Limited edition to 300pcs worldwide, JBALVIN TOQO features GID shoes and fin backpack. No news thus far of post-event availability as yet, cheers.
