FOMO ART WEEKEND @ *SCAPE (Dec 3-4, 2022)
This blogpost has since been UPDATED with video (below)
and images of select booths from my visit on Dec 3rd!
Singapore's Organisation of Illustrators Council has organised a "FOMO ART WEEKEND" happening at *SCAPE this weekend (Saturday December 3rd to Sunday December 4th), with support from @thirtytwocm & @scapesg. Timed between 11AM to 7PM, entry is FREE.
OIC head-honcho Michael Ng @mindflyer shares with us: "This is a "mini version / prelude to IAF2023 after (a) absence of 3 years because of COVID."
I had gleefully attended the 2018 + 2017 Editions of Illustration Arts Festival, and am pretty jazzed to see the return... But before "IAF2023", there's this FOMO ART WEEKEND featuring over 60 participants strong (select IG embeds of whom are shared below / hashtagged: #fomoartweekend on Insta). DUDE.
Do stay connected to OIC's socials for any updates:

Besides the massive spread in the marketplace, Illustrator, Creative Director, VR+AR+3D Artist @andre_wee will also be conducting a special Sharing Session & Demo on Sunday December 4th at 1pm.
Located at Level 5, the event location is accessible via *SCAPE's service lift along the corridor next to the Fire Command Centre, for non Culture Cartel ticket holders (I have been featuring the event on the blog, which I'd visited on Thursday).
Hope the image featured below could provide a better visual understanding of where to go ... and I certainly hope the year-end wet weather will be forgiving... UPDATED with a handy directional video!
Also mentioned on SCAPE's FB, is that the public carpark will be closed from December 2nd (10pm) to December 5th (7am). So folks driving are to find alternative parking nearby (I don't drive so can't recommend here LOL), while I'll be taking the MRT to Somerset (Exit B) and walking there, in the later afternoon. See y'all there!
