First Fully Painted SOFUBI-WOMAN from Max Toy Co
Max Toy Co reveals their first fully painted version of SOFUBI-WOMAN, to be available on maxtoyco.com from March 1st (Max Toy Club members have first dibs), with each 5.5 inches tall hand-painted sofubi to be priced at US$60 (price does not include shipping).
"Sofubi-woman, is my homage to the men and women who cast soft vinyl in Japan. As many of you may (or not) know, I've had a life long love affair with soft vinyl kaiju since 1973. But, it wasn't till much later that I found out more about the actual process of making and casting these types of toys." ~ shared Mark Nagata.
Sofubi-woman is digitally sculpted by Andrea Calleja, with Max Toy coordination and proto printing from artist Javier Jimenenz. Cast in Flesh colored soft vinyl, this version is cast in China with help by UhOh Toys.
