How To Spot Bootleg Open Edition KAWS COMPANIONS

@levtokyo drops some toy-education and a warning for folks collecting KAWS, with the focus today on KAWS COMPANIONS, specifically the "Open Editions", which featured in their line-up 3 X Original Colors + 3 X Flayed Editions ("Dissected Companions" given new name) and the 2 X Blush Versions, noting that they were NEVER RELEASED IN (Printed) BOXES!

Along with these handy images reposted here, comes the message: "These Open Edition Kaws Companions were only released in CLEAR, SEE THRU BAGS, so you could see the Companion with the product information printed directly on the bag itself."

I personally do not own a KAWS-collectible, legit or even bootleg (how sad is that? Always wanted to do a COMPARISON-posts like this too :p), and can neither confirm nor deny this ... and have only very recently seen the retail boxes that comes with the figures (I blame BLAXK & Action City for stoking my desires for KAWS toys seen up front), so you-knowledge like this should really go out to more folks, as KAWS continues to hype collecting pop culture, IMHO.

"...so, If you see an open edition KAWS COMPANION with A Box (Red) for Sale , It is Definitely NOT an Official Release , and MOST LIKELY A FAKE!" ~ @levtokyo.
