#WHATSINTHEBOXSG: Creature Commandos in a Wolf Man Box

"WHAT'S IN THE BOX" is a new serial series where I take a look at my toy-boxes from decades back, more likely 1/6th-scale figure-boxes, some still with original contents inside, most used as vessels to hold other toys... Let's dive in, shall we?

(Above video watchable direct HERE on Instagram). Featured directly below are images of my kit bashed 1/6th-scaled CREATURE COMMANDOS (snaps snapped a looooong time ago and posted on TOYSREVIL circa 2011):

WHAT-IS: "The Creature Commandos are a fictional DC Comics team of military superhumans originally set in World War II. The original team was introduced in Weird War Tales #93 (November 1980),[2] created by J. M. DeMatteis and Pat Broderick. The team was composed of a human team leader, a werewolf, a vampire, a Frankenstein's monster, and a gorgon." (Wiki).

DC Studios is currently developing an animated series for streaming on MAX, as part of the Gunn+Safran "DC Universe (DCU)" line-up (Announced here). I still prefer my memories toned back, thank you.

My trio of Sideshow Toys 1/6th-scaled character figures include (left-to-right): The Wolf Man (box images via eBay), The Master from "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" / Buy here), and lastly the Frankenstein Monster (Box image via eBay). The initial plan was to include a female "medusa" character, and also a "G.I.Robot"!

I could kitbash a "medusa" with a turban-wrap on the head, but that would be "cheating"... or I could use the decapited Medusa from Hot Toy's "CLASH OF THE TITANS PERSEUS" figure? I am just not talented enough to sculpt an actual head lor ... unless I adapt a Machiko the 1/6th-scaled She Predator using her "dreads" as "snake bodies"...? :p

As for the "G.I. Robot", I could conceivably custom-make one, with this body I'd done before (below image), and make a proper headsculpt to fit?
