Astro Boy: The Journey through Time @ BLAXK (Opens June 8)



In collaboration with legendary Japanese animation house TEZUKA PRODUCTIONS, BLAXK by ActionCity presents the "Astro Boy: The Journey through Time" exhibition, since scheduled to open to the public on Saturday June 8th!

Created by Osamu Tezuka in 1951, Astro Boy has blazed through from manga and anime series, movies and video games to art, fashion & collectibles, and is widely recognised today as a global pop-culture phenomenon.



Beyond showcasing this beloved character in the pop art space, *Astro Boy: The Journey through Time* exhibition is also launching a series of exciting never-seen-before Astro Boy creations designed and produced exclusively by BLAXK for this momentous showcase!




With three exclusives to be had, the first has been revealed to be the "ASTRO BOY JIANGSHI"! Standing at 7.5” (18.5 cm) tall, available for pre-order from 𝟴 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲, 𝗦𝗮𝘁 via our online store at actioncity.sg and the BLAXK store.



Hopping through the annals of history, the 𝗔𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼 𝗕𝗼𝘆 𝗝𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗵𝗶 is a timeless symbol of what it means for a cultural icon to be ageless and enduring. As cute as he is immortal, Astro Boy Jiangshi is decked out in his own specially designed costume, powered by the same force of love for peace and humanity – his heart.




>Working with the master of horror – Singapore artist Daniel Yu – the Astro Boy Jiangshi is produced exclusively by BLAXK in collaboration with TEZUKA Studio in limited numbers to launch the 𝗔𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼 𝗕𝗼𝘆: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Interestingly, the last time I was at BLACK (for ), so show was the "ASTROBOY: A RETROSPECTIVE" (which I featured HERE), which was focused more on the "collectibles/toys", which no doubt was to be the primer for what is to happen this weekend onwards! Stay hyped, Astro-Boy-fans in Singapore!
