BACKSTORY: ‘Moon Bloom’ is the latest arrival in the CYBERNEKO series of the successful lucky cat pop art collectibles created by French-British author, artist and designer Henry Chebaane, inspired by his love of Sci-Fi stories and Asian cultures.

The author of the acclaimed steampunk graphic novel series THE PANHARMONION CHRONICLES, has released ‘Moon Bloom’ to coincide with the publication of his latest graphic novel, KINGDOM UNITED – clean up London #1.

The first installment in a dystopian action thriller, this is the story of Neeta Rao, a Singaporean botanist who becomes a vigilante on the streets of London. She finds comfort in the company of stray cats that she rescues. She keeps a ‘CYBERNEKO’ collectible toy in her flat, a cheeky lucky cat that is also seen on some of her T-shirts - a reminder of her childhood in Katong, Singapore.



This latest version of CYBERNEKO is called ‘Moon Bloom’ to honour the renewal cycle of Spring symbolised by the Sakura blossom adorning her shield. Her body is painted in a cool lunar white with warm grey stripes. The ears, nose, shield and collar are accented in soft, shimmering metallic copper, while her eyes have large black pupils surrounded by a thin gold rim.

Henry Chebaane is also an award-winning restaurant designer so expect to see versions of these lucky cats decorating some of his cool projects around the world.
