Teased for, and revealed at the recent New York Toy Fair is Mortal Kombat Klassic action figures from McFarlane Toys - and we have actual footage to enjoy (instead of the illustrated turnarounds seen around the www pre-show)! The first live-action film, Mortal Kombat, was released in 1995, directed by Paul Anderson. The film follows a group of heroes who participate in the eponymous tournament to protect Earth from being conquered by malevolent forces. Its story primarily adapts the original 1992 game, while also using elements from the game Mortal Kombat II (1993). Honestly, I've felt that this was still more epic than the 2021 remake, IMHO.

On a similar token, I have a hand-collated set of Mortal Kombat trading cards (from the 1995 feature film) from Skybox, consisting of 90 basic cards, and is my sole complete set too! Which honestly was a rarity for a Skybox release, IMHO.
