Spider-Man Premium: Eternal Evil '96 Trading Card Set
"Spider-Man Premium: Eternal Evil '96" trading cards from Fleer/Skybox sees a fantastically presented painted heroes and villains with embossed logo and text, with my sole set for sale consisting of 100 x hand-collated base cards, cheers.
(Below card flip first filmed and uploaded here on Insta during my 5th pop-up at Katong Square).
Published/released in 1996 from the newly merged (and Marvel-Owned) Fleer/Skybox, consisting of a 100 base card set (including a checklist), which also possesses two chase sets (6 Canvas, 3 Holomotion). I think I might have a couple of canvas chase, but no memory of a holomotion tho... :p
According to spiderfan.org (all info via), a box yielded 36 packs, with 8 cards per pack, featuring 3 different pack designs. I honestly do not remember if my box yielded 1 complete base set or two (I have yet to find my file set, so...), and neither have I found loose/single cards from this series thus far too...
What sets this series apart from previous releases (at least from my POV), is the painted artwork by Nelson, Greg Hildebrandt and Tim Hildebrandt, Peter Scanlan, Bob Larkin, Lou Harrison, Jeff Pittarelli, Cliff Nielsen, Peter Bollinger, Tom Kyffin, Chris Hawkes, Ian Miller, Terese Nielsen, Tom Fleming, Mark Fredrickson, Fred Harper, Mark Texeira, Bruce Jensen, Ray Lago, Marc Sasso, Scott Rosema, Luis Perez, John Hanley, Tim Spinosi, Joe DeVito, Gray Morrow, and Dave DeVries ... all of whom veers towards a slightly "evil" and darker vibe and tone, with a very visually "contrasted" aesthetic too, very much in line with the "Eternal Evil" title, IMHO.
