DESCRIPTION: "Duotone color for sofvi (there are five colors in total) is a special paint that only goes on top of black. So, for the latest Mimi, the base body cast out of black sofvi is first painted over with a green Duotone. Next, the base coat for the "hair," "eyes," and "blood dripping from the mouth," which I want to paint in different Duotone colors, is overpainted with black using a spray mask. The hair and eyes are then mask-painted with a blue Duotone, and the blood with a red duotone to finish.
Considering that previous painted versions of Mimi were finished with a mask painting of each color one at a time on a molded-in body, the Duotone painted version is three times as much work and a lot of work to do."
