A Closer Look at POISON ELVES Trading Cards (from 1996)
Here's a closer look at "POISON ELVES" trading cards from Comic Images (Published 1996), with this card-flip video below showcasing SINGLES which I have since available at Miku Market (Along with the hand-collated complete basic set of 75 cards), cheers!

This was a surprising find in my recent excavation of thy hoard, and I had honestly forgotten I even had these! Even more a surprising delight was the silver-foil surface for a bulk of the set, followed by reprints of the comicbook covers, some of them I do remember seeing, but plenty I did not, as I did not actively purchase or collect the comicbooks back then.
WHAT-IS: "Poison Elves" is a black-and-white comic book by the late artist/writer Drew Hayes, concerning the life and times of an elf named "Lusiphur". The series lasted 88 issues (published from December, 1991 to September, 2004 (Info).
So in essence, this trading card series showcases Mr Hayes' art, in this 75 card set (basic set), beyond the trade paperbacks collected of his comicbooks too.
My only "connection" to "elves" (back in the 90s) was Wendy and Richard Pini's "ElfQuest" comicbook (whom was not made "trading cards", interestingly), and my curiosity for the genre did not go beyond the few issues I picked up (and not even in sequential order, I vaguely remember not :p).
I was not so in tune with "Poison Elves" as I was not too keen on "dark elves" concept then, nor knowledgeable enough in Dungeons-n-Dragons to find this appealing, which I had somewhat categorised it alongside books like "Cerebus" and "evil manifest"-themes like "Evil Ernie" and "Lady Death" et al, which honestly was not my cuppa nor my collecting focus then.
According to nslists.com, Chase Cards for this series include 7 X Chromium Cards (1:24 packs), 3 X Subset Cards (1:48 packs), Autographed Card by Drew Hayes (limited to 500) and a Box Bonus Card (which I reckon I have but need to further excavate it :p), all of which will be an interesting hunt for, in my hoard, and I will attempt to add to THIS blog-feature when I discover anything else :)
