THE toynews that had been flooding my TL on socials today belonged to MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE: CHRONICLES action figure adaptation of the upcoming live-action feature film (directed by Travis Knight)! I certainly am curious if this current hype will further enhance the pop-culture appropriationability of the icons to custom and production toys in art toy culture, as has Ronald McDonald, Evangelion, Gundam, Optimus Prime et al, besides the classic muscled body toy-form... Well certainly depends on how the film does and how folks accept it, innit?
