aespa × POP MART Fluffy Club

When the teaser for "aespa × POP MART Fluffy Club" dropped, I was pretty much obsessed with trying to break the toynews on TOYSREVIL and finding out WTH were the items! But I knew Myself (vespa's fandom) would eventually find out more, and they flooded my TL with reveals galore which I RT'd and even screen grabbed to make a post with), and by then everyone has images and videos to share... ao this particular blogpost no longer isn about "breaking news", but perhaps would be better served as a "headsup" to collectibles non-aespa folks could know slightly more about, innit?

AESPA FLUFFY CLUB Regular Editions

Revealed are character figures (from a "nameless" artist) vibing with Skullpanda-esque girly-faces made -in-vinyl mashed up with Labubu-themed plush bodies (which we see multiple figures lines lined-up on Pop Mart display shelves). The product leads the charge, versus the artist-led releases of others (ala Lang's Hirono, Kasing Liung's Labubu, DIMOO and SKULLPANDAZ etc).

The "key release" is the collection is without a doubt the "𝗮𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗮 𝗙𝗹𝘂𝗳𝗳𝘆 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗩𝗶𝗻𝘆𝗹 𝗣𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗵 𝗗𝗼𝗹𝗹 𝗣𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝘁" - which featured a blind boxed vinyl plush doll (ala Labubu if you don't know what it is), PLUS a photo-card of the members of aespa (for the "Secret" Editions)! Brilliant add, I insist, which essentially bridged the divide between regular buyers and the fandom, IMHO!

𝗮𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗮 𝗙𝗹𝘂𝗳𝗳𝘆 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲r series includes:
- 𝗙𝗹𝘂𝗳𝗳𝘆 𝗚𝗘𝗟𝗕𝗨𝗟𝗡𝗬𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗜
- 𝗙𝗹𝘂𝗳𝗳𝘆 𝗥𝗪𝗘
- 𝗙𝗹𝘂𝗳𝗳𝘆 𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗚𝗧𝗔𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗜
- 𝗙𝗹𝘂𝗳𝗳𝘆 𝗞𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗜

Available as well are "𝗮𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗮 𝗙𝗹𝘂𝗳𝗳𝘆 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗮𝗿𝗱", of course with all 4 members of aespa manifested unto collectible!

This is not the first time the 4 members of aespa had been manifested as animal / character mascots, with earlier releases both as blind box figurines and plush too. The Fluffy Club perhaps bridges the notion of their mascots (the character hoodies were a adorable adaptation), plus notions of color, including Winter's yellow from her snowman/snow-woman. All the while also "creating" a characteristic of their own, and not just a straight up zeroxing of their earlier releases, methinks.

Aespa Toys

Ever since BLACKPINK's LISA became synonymous/credited with blowing up Kasing Lung's LABUBU, I've noticed tons more "celebs" personalities jumped on the bandwagon and wonder3ed what figure is next to be in the celeb-spotlight...! Hardly imagined that there would be a straight-up collaboration between KPOP and POP MART! And I don't think I need to be a fan of the girl group to appreciate this and the possibilities moving forward!

Hoenstly, no onbe is going to be missing out on the bandewagon this round, regardless if they jumoped on later than after LISA, or when Labubu really exploded (and currentky imploding :p), so I knew i'd be in fior a splendid round of videos to share from every other influncencer(s) navigating in this sphere ~ muahahahahahaha

This is not the first time KPOP has been made toys/collectibles too, with my recent feature and a whole lot more revealed since, but it is interesting to see a major toy-manufacturer/maker/brand adopting KPOP. Yes there have been releases in the past, notably Blackpink, but wondering off all these would mean the "epitome" of the groups status to have a toy(s) made after them? Not considering the whole business aspect of it all, of course.

One aspect of the hobby which I've noticed online, is when folks "dress up" their figures, in frocks and frills - something I am familiar with and remember from the days of Blythe and Barbie, and even before with paper dolls - which I've always appreciated as it involved "active physical play", rather than just buy-and-display, IMHO. And yes, I am based, as I am very familiar with kitbashing 1/6th (heh). And I think whatever toy/collectible that could currently lead beyond that, is always great.

Hey, if "Godzilla and kaiju" could do it...!

The KPOP girl group aespa 에스파 will be releasing their 2nd album "LEMONADE" on 2026.05.29 1PM (KST) / 12AM (EDT) (Pre-order&save), which no doubt will help fuel the awareness and perhaps even toy-desire (even though the characters are in no way similar)... would be lovely to see a stop-motion MV of aespa's tracks using the vinyl plush dolls tho ... Heh.

Here is a look at the 'LEMONADE' Complæxity Trailer and behind-the-scenes making of, cheers.
