NYARIKABE Incoming from Javier Jimenez
Spain-based creator/artist Javier Jimenez has revealed in his latest "Making Toys" video (embedded at bottom of this blogpost) his latest sofubi!
First available in resin, now upsized into, and will be made available multiple versions at Hong Kong at the ElefunPop Art & Toy Show 2026 (July 24-28)!

WHO IS "NYARIKABE"?
Nyarikabe was a regular Nurikabe (ぬりかべ) with cracks in which cats would sleep. From the moment a cat took shelter inside his cracks, he never felt lonely again. He developed a sense of affection for them and started protecting them from danger. He loved cats so much that he started feeling like one, and even changed it’s appearance!
The clear vinyl version has been filled up with yummies too! AWESOME!
"NYARIKABE" is a yokai character creation apart of Javier's "Ghetto HyakkiYagyo" toy line, which includes KARAKASA and BURA-BURA (whom has also been made into Garage Kits)!
This figure is one of two creations he has mentioned, and we look forward to the next reveal!
