marvel comic's flint marko / sandman, i mean ... as opposed to dc comics' morpheus/daniel/sandman

just seen on Superhero Hype: and yes i am late wif my "news" again as usual BAH

Sandman is revealed as the new villain in Spiderman 3. kewl-ish. altho i still can't shake off the image of him humpin' Sandra Oh in the motel room seems i'd always remember him from Sideways tho ... but that's just me ... heh :p

and isn't it a coincidence other than immaculate media-planning that in all three Spiderman movies, Spidey is up against old-geezers? The Green Goblin. Dr. Octopus. and now a wrinkly Sandman? who else? The Vulture? The Lizard? ... and not many villains around his (Peter Parker) own age-group, innit? ... but of coz there's still the possibility of James Franco/Harry Osborn donning his father's mask and glider and becoming the new Green Goblin, innit?

... or is the subliminal subjugation of "youngsters" by "authority figures" / older parental figures; the best way to sell a film? ... but hey, i ain't knocking the choices for them flicks, eh? ... just thinking out loud, i reckon ... :)

and it sure as heck doesn't stop a comics fanboy/nerd/geek/dreamer like me from enjoying them superhero comic flicks, innit? ~ and I can't WAIT!
