The BROWN EDITION is the classic version of Joe's great ape. The figure, as with future versions, will be articulated at the neck, the shoulders, hands and legs. Each will be boxed in a window box covered with Joe's artwork. While the BROWN version isn't an open edition, it will be limited, but it may be finally determined based on orders. The figure stands 7" tall.
The second version is the PREVIEWS exclusive CANDY EDITION. This pink colorway not only differs in color but facial feature as well, to offer collectors more than a color variant. This exclusive will be limited to 600pcs worldwide and as with the BROWN edition, will have an SRP of US$90.00.
Both versions are expected to be available in late April / early May 2008 - and will be on display @ the New York International ToyFair (Javitz Center) @ Booth #4905 - from 17th Feb onwards ... better start bugging your fav stores to order these babies before you end up having to thrawl evilbay for a fix (IMHO) ... also to note: there are expectations of a couple of versions being released as well as a SDCC version!
me? i have absolutely near-no complains whatsoever about these figures becoz they look amazing, not just with it's form = refreshing for an all-new JLed creation as opposed to embellishing platforms (IMO, of coz), but also it possesses the hallmark JLed-thick black "outlines" ... all that and tis chunky (*i like chunky*) and tis a funky-monkey = can't go wrong with that, IMHO! LOL ... the only "complaint" i may have? is that im in no financial condition to procure these two vinyl-beasties, and im sure to be left out in the cold ... and that really sucks ~ *sobz*
