U.K. Illustrator/Painter Guy McKinley comes to myplasticheart with a new set of paintings and prints featuring his latest works. He will also be debuting for the first time his resin figure based off a character featured in this exhibit. Guy will be making the trek from the U.K. to NYC and will be available to chat and sign at the opening reception. Shown-right is a sneak-peek at Guy's screen print made especially for the show by Waste - featuring one of his lovely Dead Japanese Ghost Girls Warriors (why they have not yet been made into toy figures yet, is beyond me, seriously) holding what could be the resin toy in question :p
Guy also mentions on his flickr: "The image above is hopefully also going to be in the show in the form of my very first (vinyl) toy. She is top secret, but I will be showing her in the exhibition and hopefully launching her all boxed and ready to go sometime soon after that. Anyone who is interested in buying one, let me know and I can get some kind of list of intersted parties together. They will be very limited and all made by hand not mass produced. Full resin, lovely, lovely things they are too. Will post some snaps when I get back."
UPDATED: Peep a sneak of the 3 colour silk screen A2-sized print by Waste to be made available at the show! Limited to 35 prints, signed & numbered (price undetermined) - Guy has left word on his flickr for folks to drop him an email @ info @ guymckinley.com if anyone wants to order one. Even from the sneak I can tell you they'll be gone pretty darn quick, IMHO.
