TRE-REVIEW: YOKA Series One by adFunture
adFunture's YOKA SERIES ONE was first released during the Taipei Toy Festival in July - featuring a host of international artists, designers and clothing brands - creating their own style-take on the vinyl YOKA platform figure. Available as blind boxed figures - TRE had the opportunity of debuting them in Singapore circa STGCC (you rawk, Eddi!). CLICK THRU for a closer look at the deboxing of the figure, as well as peeks at the individual designs! (Warning: Heavy Image Load)
18 whopping figures / designs in the series @ a SRP of US$7.50 per.
(3 "chase" figures: GID Huck Gee, Red Racer and a white figure from DGPH)
Blind box opened via perforated tab up top (so no one can get down to funny bizness, yeh?)
Figure within the blind box comes sealed within a printed-clear bag:
Shown here is a YOKA designed by Frank Kozik :)
As the bear in box-graphic is "trapped" behind wire-fences,
so too the YOKA in hand that needs to be "liberated"! LOL
With the YOKA's chubby vinyl body-form, it's quite comfy to be held, IMHO - with a
semblance of girth and slight weightage. A bear needs to be cuddled, no? heh :)
The YOKA comes with 4 points of articulation (both arms and leg). Fits perfect in hand, no?
