Animation Nation 2009 (Oct 14-21)

Animation Nation 2009 [www / facebook] is yet again upon us this year, lasting 8 days from October 14th to the 21st, featuring a selection of animation features from Ireland, Australia, Israel, Japan, Belgium, USA, UK, China and even a Singapore Showcase ~ featuring the winners and participants of Digicon 2009 [Film-listing here]

Besides screenings, there are also scheduled animation workshops with Ervin Ann of home-grown Scrawl Studios, and (Free) seminars with Jazno Francoeur and Michael Cottam (Department Chair & Senior Lecturer respectively of Fine Arts and Animation, DigiPen Institute of Technology) and Independent Designer and Lecturer Skan Srisuwan [Read more info here]

Organized by The Singapore Film Society, tickets are priced at SGD$10 per screening (SGD$15 for workshop session) and can be purchase online via Tickets.com or phyiscally at outlets [List of locales here] - with the venue being The National Museum of Singapore / Gallery Theatre.

I had missed the entire 2008-event, and am hoping to at least make it t the very least for STUDIO4℃'s GENIUS PARTY BEYOND on October 18th (9pm)! Was blown away with the visuals when Koji Morimoto's segment was previewed in AFA'08 ~ but after searching for and posting/viewing trailers for the movies [CLICK THRU to view all] ~ I really want to catch ALL of them! But alas, no money, no animation-honey :p
