HOME GROWN MONSTERS @ Red Hot Robot will feature new work by Nervis Wrek + Jay222. Opening Saturday May 1st (opening reception 7-9pm) and exhibiting thru May 31st, each artist will have 12-15 original/custom figures (plus a couple collaboration pieces) on display. ...Nervis + Jay both have really unique styles – grotesque meets urban meets horror movie monsters ... Both artists typically use Munnys as a base, but by the time figures are completed there is so much sculptural addition or mutilation that pieces take on a whole new life.
