Evergreen classic children's cartoon The Smurfs offers up a Smurfy-Day on the silver screens in an upcoming CGI/live-action feature film (in 3-D, no less) starring Neil Patrick Harris, Hank Azaria as Gargamel and the voices of Jonathan Winters (as Papa Smurf), Jeff Foxworthy (as Handy Smurf), Katy Perry (as Smurfette) and Alan Cumming (as Guts) as CG-animated 3-apples tall Smurfs. In the 3D adaptation, evil wizard Gargamel chases the tiny blue Smurfs out of their village and they tumble from their magical world into ours -- in fact, smack dab in the middle of Central Park. Just three apples high and stuck in the Big Apple, the Smurfs must find a way to get back to their village before Gargamel tracks them down.
