Customs & Event Pics Links for NYC♥QEE @ Yoyamart by Toy2R

What no doubt is THE custom-show launched this week circa Valentines' Day in New York, was Toy2R USA's NYC♥QEE event at Yoyamart, featuring a slew of customs (who have been admirably kept in the dark until the night's full reveal) showcasing the new 5" Mini Qee form, of which the show primarily saw the launch of the DIY-series. One other "surprise" (for me), was finding out Benny of Tenacious Toys co-curated the customs ~ Of course I had to ask him about his impressions of the event! (Toy2R USA headhoncho Kevin Winnick was busy "smoozing" with Hugh "Wolverine" Jackson, so I didn't dare bother the man ;p). BENNY mentions: "I was tapped by Toy2RUSA to help curate. They sent me 20 Mini Qees (all Bear shape) and I doled them out to some of the best artists I could think of. Timeline was VERY short for all these artists so honestly the spectacular customs we got back are that much more amazing, given the fact that most of these ladies and gents received, finished and mailed back these pieces within 2 weeks. Sometimes less."

BENNY adds: "The party was AMAZING, with champagne flowing all night and artists getting saucy (you know the kind of crowd I run with!). Stephane from Yoyamart was a champ, putting up with craziness with a huge smile on his face. We all owe him a debt of gratitude for letting us use his space. Lots of industry people rolled thru with reps from Kidrobot, Mimoco, Shocker, Idolz and other manufacturers, plus shop owners, custom toy collectors, musicians, famous actors and just a giant crazy mob of fun people coming in and out all night long…"

The 20 x Mini Qees curated by Benny will be up for sale in the Customs section of Tenacious Toys (even the ones that are already sold will put them up for viewing so people can see them all together). Also note that the other Mini Qees curated by Toy2R and CTU will go back to Toy2R.
