Karl Urban as Judge Dredd

Actor Karl Urban as "Judge Dredd" in the upcoming live-actioneer based on the British weekly comicbook magazine 2,000A.D. (no, this is not a Sylvester Stallone remake). Directed by Pete travis, the movie is called DREDD and this seems to be the first snap of the lawman of the future, via Coventry Telegraph. Urban mentioned the helmet will stay ON.

KARL: "There will be no gold codpieces, and we're definitely going to stay faithful to the way that the character was originally conceived and written. He'll keep his helmet on." [via]
