depeche mode's precious : an evolution of a music video?

the more i listened to Depeche Mode's Precious, the more i like it ... and the more i feel it's the closest sound to Enjoy The Silence and their Exciter album (of 5 years ago?) ... whilst everything else on the album (which is currently on repeat play on me oldskool cd-player, 'natch) does not sound like DM, at all (save for Dave Gahan's+Martin Gore's voices lah dey) ... or rather, they sound like a more frenzied and well, "hippy-dark"? with a seemingly structured-soundscape? while relishing in controlled-chaos? (fcuked if i were a proper music-reviewer, innit? BAH) ... or as my brother had said: "sounds like shit leh" (him being a devotee DM-fan as well), whilst i say (to myself): "evolution is inevitable" ... and i likes it loads ... and that's enuff fer me :)

The "Composite" Version; where tis just basically an edited musicvideo composite with chroma-shots of the band and storyboard-animatics = uber tres cool fer us behindthescenes-production-nerds/geeks/fanboys lor! ... AND the sound is superior to Final Completed Version as well! heh :)

tho, personnally, ima seriously missing (and admittedly hankering for desperately) the imagery of Anton Corbijn (one of my personal heroes fav "artistes" and inspiration), on their previous albums = grime+gritty-filled-video-artistry like Walking In My Shoes or Barrel Of A Gun ... basically most videos from this DVD lah! LOL ... and on that feeble note, maybe someone'll wanna buy me THIS gawddamned DVD as well? please? ... i can only but try, right?

... or then again, by saying such; maybe i myself might not be ready for an evolution of the new (visual) Depeche Mode, as well?
