sideshowtoys' terminator 2: judgment day 12" figure

now, i wouldn't be ashamed to say i thoroughly enjoyed T2: Judgment Day the movie the most out of the trilogy (T1-rawked too, but T3-sucked cyborg-balls) and had always wanted to have a T800 1/6th figure (self-bashed or bought) - but the reality of it all was that whatever had come out on the market was almost never "perfect", ya know? (for me anyways) - either the likeness was not all there, or the proportions are a tad off, or the clothes generally do not seem to fit the figure ... enter SideShowToys' T-800 12"-figure - and i'd like to share my thoughts based on the production images shown:
headsculpt: extreme receding hairline aside, i liked that they've captured Arnold Schwarzenegger's likeness, especially with the slight grimace, which looks good even wif the signature shades on (yes, i bot a 1/1-replica yonks ago too ;p) - on par with BBI's sculpt a while back (albeit a tad tanned). one thing that've always bugged me, was that most 1/6th-figures came at the same height, but with SideShowToys, they are actually a tad taller, so Arnie would work-out well standing next to the other perps (altho not as "buffed" as BBI-G3s) = *cool*
on clothes: the faux-leather pants seem an ill-fit. frustrating. looks like tis his cyborg-legs (without skin and muscle) wearing them ~ *sigh*
and a pet peeve = opened sleeves. every single time i see figures with wide-opened sleeves it bugs me to no end! mayhap folks could do an adjustable strap around it? or make it more tapered? of coz i realize SST's wrists can't be removed as easily, as say Dragon's or BBI's (to fit smaller sleeves), but still ... of coz that's just me own peeve :p
as much as i want a Terminator figure, without an opportunity to see the figure up-close (until of coz when it reaches Singapore's shores), i might just pass on this one ... maybe :p
the T-800 12"-figure set comes in two editions: the Regular Edition (accessories include: Sunglasses / Shotgun / Knife / Cigar and Pool Cue) and an Exclusive Edition, which includes an additional Rose Box with Roses ~ *heh*
