dialed?
CLICK HERE to find out what happened next in the new/current
DARK KNIGHT Viral campaign, and the video posted above is all about :)

(1) the locations-list gets burnt up over at ClownTravelAgency.com and a new note appears, with the Joker asking you to help him break into a Security System - the message is:

"Good job, Clowns! You've proven that you're kingpin material, so I've got a job that's right up your alley. Head over to www.acmesecuritysytems.com/delos and see if you can disable a certain alarm system for me.

The password is: Needle. Be sure not to use a phony email address. It'll be OK? I promise."

(2) your phone number (international codes inclusive), name and email address is prompted on www.acmesecuritysytems.com/delos. fill up the fields and wait.

Camera Locations shown on ACME Security Systems' website: [via]
- Gotham National Bank
- Wayne Tower Parking Garage
- Gotham Police Department Helicopter
- Arkham Asylam

(3) you will receive a call. a woman's pre-recorded voice asks you for the password, then say: "NEEDLE" - wait - "Jim Gordon" comes on line (via pre-recorded voicemail) and basically tells you that you've fallen for a trap ("you" being a accomplice/lackey for the Joker) and that you had two choices: be jailed, or join up as a new recruit in the GPD (Gotham Police Department)

**the voice-recording can be heard on the youtubed slideshow-video posted at top of blog-post (which i made from the MP3 audio file found here)**

apparantly, after hearing the voicemail, the login screen may change to the image shown-below
(altho not for everyone) ... im guessing this may have something to do with your ISP/email ...

Jim Gordon's TELEPHONE TRANSCRIPT [via BatmanDarkKnightMovieChronicles.com]:

Woman: Hello, this is the Acme Security Systems voice print identification system, please say the password clearly.

Caller: NEEDLE

Gordon: This is Jim Gordon, major crimes, Gotham Police Department. Not the voice you were expecting… huh? We have your name. We have your number. We have your computer’s IP address. So what I’m saying is, we have you. Consider yourself the Gotham Police Department’s newest recruit. You see, this works one of two ways, either you’re going to jail for conspiracy in a criminal enterprise, or, you’ll work for me. We’ll be in touch. Oh, have a great day!

[all above intel via SHH forum]

/// i did not partake of the phone-call aspect of the game, as much as it would've been cool to personally hear the voicemail, but alas i have never been comfortable leaving particulars online (even if they promised me Bat-goodies galore LOL) - the daily spam i get is enough to dampen any joy of online viral marketing campaigns .. nevertheless, the various online denizens have helped me "enjoy" this aspect thus far :)

/// one gnawing question is: Is that REALLY Jim Gordon on the voicemail - altho it may or may not be Gary Oldman-speaking, but the breathing and style of speech reminds me loads of Heath Ledger's Joker, dunnit? especially the slurred breathe before starting any sentences ... the "have a great day"-line is such a throw-away to the entire seriousness of the message, which to me, parallel's the Joker's motto/spirit: Why So Serious?

/// next gnawing question: what happens next? a trailer? another aspect of a game? even a picture? regardless, i reckon it all ties in with the movies' plot (re: Joker wrecking havoc and taking down Gotham and GPD) and no doubt will reveal itself within the day (or night, in the US), IMHO ... ADDED: or perhaps as the SHH-forumers gauged from the 4th April stamped-dates, which coincides with Heath Ledger's birthday, which perhaps would most likely be an apt tribute to the passing of the actor, a Joker-centric trailer? to celebrate his role? ... meanwhile, here are some other fragmented info, culled from the web:

Found on Gotham Victims Advocate Foundation-website [www.gvafoundation.org]:

"The Law requires that victims of crime be protected, but we've had five people call us in the last four weeks complaining that they have been approached by predatory security firms and lenders who clearly knew that their homes had been vandalized during the Fear Toxin riots in The Narrows. One of our clients contracted with the security system that approached her, which promised to provide her with 24 hour security for $12.99, and to install the system for free. It was the classic bait and switch ... It's apparent that these companies are getting the victim's information. One of our volunteers pretended to interview for a job with one of these companies. She reported that there were Gotham Police documents on the desk of the man who interviewed her. When she asked if the company was working with the police, the man interviewing her winked and said no, but that the Gotham Police's secure internal documents server was an open book. He said the GPD's document security was a joke."

/// btw - "Dana Worthington" (founder of GVAF) had also announced her candidacy for District Attorney of Gotham City, on the website. and we all know who wins in the end, innit?

/// this ties in with the scenario of the cyber-crimes perpetrated above. which may also corroborate the existence of crooked police in GPD - which may be related more to "Joseph Candoloro" of Concerned Citizens for a Better Gotham, and hence Harvey Dent ... and what is the Joker's connection to Candoloro? "hired gun?" ... hhhmmm

/// and if this message on gvafoundation.org IS connected to whatever happening thus far, then kudos and a sharp salute to 42 Entertainment (ie: the company which runs the DK-viral campaigns) - becoz the website has been around for a long time, and all these must have been planned looooong ahead in time, and if that be the actual case? it rawks.
