Seriously, what could be said about Hot Toy's Movie Masterpiece 1/6th-scaled BATMOBILE [www] aka The TUMBLER? [tagged] Ever since this beatie made it's official debut at the recent Tokyo Toy Show (circa June 19-22) - fans have been clamoring for further details, specifically it's price - becoz simply, tis ain't no toddler-toy - and from these released images, it is mofo-awesome looking, complete with opening cockpit and light-up functions (and no, the figure DOES NOT come with the vehicle LOL). Slated for a December-release, Blister.jp currently has it priced at 49,000YEN (US$460 / SGD$627). FYI: it is stated that this item is for sale only in Hong Kong and Japan.

Measuring a whopping 73-centimeters in length, I'd like to say that this piece is so huge I may not have a space to store or display it, even IF I had the financial ability to procure it - but hell if you wanna give it to me for FREE? I. Will. Make. Space.

  1. hang on! this may be a stupid theory or it may be a fact well known for ages, but could the batpod be embedded in the batmobile? front wheels are the same... could be a neat trick, tumbler broken, peeling away/exploding and the 'pod folds out of the wreckage.

    I'll hold the coffee now.

  2. not stupid at all Kenn - pretty valid too, as I remeber vaguely reading about the theory somewhere on some phantom forum, and having that theory debunked ... but again, my senility is thy bane and i can't remember if this really happened or tis a figment of the imagination LOL

the "hidden batpod"-trick would be totally rawking tho! ... hhhmmm maybe we should have another look at the toys that came out - becoz if this be an actual trick, the toys would def not wanna miss out on this! LOL

  5. Plastic or diecast? Though 1/6 scale is simply amazing ( I WILL MAKE SPACE FOR IT TOO!!), but if it's made of plastic instead of diecast, then it's a deal breaker for me.
