Event Images for SAVE&DESTROY Art Show
From Javier Jimenez (an illustrator and graphic designer based in Granada, Spain) sends us snaps and words of his recently curated show titled SAVE&DESTROY Art Show - with the theme being "kaiju" and "tokusatsu" (Japanese monsters and super heroes). Launched March 5th in Granada (Spain), the show will be open until the 2nd of April, whereby it will subsequently be taken to a Comic Convention in Malaga (Spain) between the 7th and 8th of July. "I reunited artworks of 18 international artists, some of them already well-known and some less known but very promising, from different disciplines (from people working for the industry of comics to graphic designers and illustrators) and combining prints, photographies, paper toys and vinyl toys. Among the 18 participants, we have Shin Tanaka presenting his new paper toy "KAIJU" and Paul Shih presenting "Chibi", the newest Sushi Kaiju's friend. Our aim is to include new artists in further shows and make the exhibition bigger." ~mentions Javier.
The artist lineup include: Creaturekebab, Hanzo, Javier Jiménez, Jorge Jiménez, Kepalakardus, Mapachillo, Matt Frank, Mias “The Rock” Johnson, Pakoto, Paul Shih, Randyotter, Ridd Sorensen, Shin Tanaka, SILO, Sprits, Tanoshiboy, Terelo, Wuzone. Some of the artworks are currently for sale at the exhibition's official website @ www.saveanddestroy.com. And this is not the end of the show, as Javier mentioned; "We have plans of making new editions of the exhibition, focusing on different aspects and series/films of the kaiju and tokusatsu world."
