TADO: Q&A + Seen @ ToyConUK 2013
Read-ON for impressions and experience of Mike from TADO for the recently concluded ToyCon UK, along with snaps of the burst of color at their table (which oddly enough I had a hard time looking for a full-snap of, and failed in my quest ;p).

TOYSREVIL: How was the ToyCon for you? Your impressions? Was it what you expected it to be? Was this your first Con?
TADO: ToyCon UK was fantastic for us and we really enjoyed ourselves! It was amazing to see the incredible work that's been going on and to meet a load of new faces. It was also a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and to get pumped off everyones enthusiasm for making cool stuff. It was certainly well organised and the responses we got from everyone throughout the day were very positive - the overall atmosphere was fantastic - both attendees and the other exhibitors seemed to be having a blast.
Aside from Taipei Toy Fair, this is the only 'Con we've taken part in and it was a very different but equally brilliant experience. We've never attended a 'con as a visitor but the guys we spoke to seemed very impressed and loved how accessible all the artists were and how friendly everyone was - we look forward to next year!

TOYSREVIL: Tell us what you had on your table! And which of your items had the warmest reception / best response?
TADO: We used the ToyCon as an excuse to kick ourselves up the backside and make a whole load of new self-produced stuff to start of our Panda Otaku project.
We had an absolute blast doing it and learned a load of new stuff. The most popular items by far were the wooden Panda-Otaku's themselves, both versions of which sold out very quickly. We also had a very good response with the resin figures we did too which has made us excited about producing more.

TOYSREVIL: Any suggestions to make the event even more awesome in the future?
TADO: We think overall it was great and very well organised - we think next year will be bigger and hopefully with more tickets available to people - we're pretty sure both these things are already planned. We'd have loved a little more setup time to be able to say hello to folks etc but again we think that was purely down to the venue rather than the organisers. Overall, Top Marks!!

Currently listed online via http://shop.tado.co.uk are pre-orders for painted and non-painted Panda Otakus, Hermazinger and Miss Panda resin figures, cushions/pillows and the remaining keychains!
