Your TOYSREVIL Guide to ToyCon UK 2013: Panels, Workshop & Signing Sessions

You bought your wants. You gawked at your eye-candied-customs. Now to get yourself "toy-educated" at the April 6th ToyConUK with two panels, a workshop, and not forgetting a signing session on the main stage with some of your fav artists! Best part of it all? You don't have to pay a single cent = as it already is costed in your entry ticket! Which means you can spend more on purchasing awesomeness, innit? (That's how I sees it anyways ;p) … Let's break it down, shall we?

TOYCONUK-CUSTOMIZING-PANEL

CUSTOM TOY PANEL (Happening at 11:00AM)

The panelists are: Doktor A, Jon-Paul Kaiser, Lunabee, and Planet DOMU.

WHAT: Each of the artist’s will give a short talk about themselves and their work and then there will be a Q&A session where you can ask them about the work, techniques or anything else that takes your fancy.

CUSTOMISING WORKSHOP (Happening at 12.30PM)

WHAT: 3 artists will be customising toys "live" - namely Jon-Paul Kaiser (painting a Giant Monster Embry by Taylored Curiosities), David Stevenson (who will be doing up some DIY figures with POSCA pens), and Kerry Dyer (who will be sculpting).

PRODUCTION TOY PANEL (Happening at 1:30PM)

WHAT: Ever wondered how production toys go from idea to reality, we’ve assembled a crack team who cover the whole process from concept design to final production.

Gents (and lady) who will bring you thru the task include Rob Ames and Luc Hudson (Triclops Studio), Ali Coleman (of Morpheus), and Holly Stanway (aka A Little Stranger). Rounding up the group is Dan Willet (of Unbox Industries and Together Plus). You know when folks or even yourself) ask: "How Do I Make A Toy?" = this is the panel you should sit in to, IMHO.
