MARCH of ROBOTS! by Dacosta on Instgram
March 1st marks the start of “MARCH of ROBOTS!” The Kickstarter artbook campaign and accompanying Instagram Challenge by artist Dacosta! Remember #Botober? This is Dacosta taking on a new level, and I'm personal game to get my sketchery-ON!
1. Drawings can be digital or analogue, but it must be drawn by you and it has to be a robot (or depict a robot as the dominant figure in the scene).
2. #Hashtag drawings with #marchofrobots
And lastly…
3. "Have fun with it! If you feel you’re up to the full 31 day challenge, awesome! If not, no worries. You don’t have to do a drawing every day. Just set yourself a goal and stick with it."

"For the past couple of years Dacosta has been doing a daily sketch project in the month of October called #Botober. The goal was mainly to challenge himself and to celebrate his love for all things robotic. Shortly after completing the most recent challenge this past October he decided he wasn’t going to wait a whole year before diving into another, Hence “MARCH of ROBOTS!” was born. 31 days, 31 new robot drawings.
The goal is a new robot illustration each day for 31 days and to up the level of awesome, Dacosta is also creating a artbook of the same name and running a Kickstarter campaign. While the Instagram challenge will run for the entire month for 31 days, the Kickstarter will run a little longer from March 1 to April 14 midnight EST." -Dacosta!
The book on Kickstarter: "“MARCH of ROBOTS!” will be a softcover book at 80 pages, printed in the US in full color on art-quality paper measuring 7.75” x 10”. Inside the book you’ll find all manner of robots, from super cute bots to action-ready mecha. I hope to give you a look into my process, from rough pencil sketches to ink drawings to finished vector illustrations. The project also has a digital side which goes beyond the boundaries of traditional print by incorporating "augmented reality". Dacosta will be creating a companion app, on which you’ll be able to view animated 3D models and other elements of select images through your smartphone or tablet cameras."The 3 Laws;
