Pics and Q&A - OUTLAND DESIGNER TOYS @ Dutch Comic Con 2015
With the inaugural Dutch Comic Con just ended one week ago, TOYSREVIL checks in with Jerome of Outland Designer Toy Store & Art Gallery with a micro Q&A to find out a little bit more of the event, as well share snaps of the festivities … and if you hanker for some of the exclusives from JonPaul Kaiser, Emilio Garcia and Reet Neet, check out this link straight up!
TOYSREVIL: How has the response to Art Toys in The Netherlands been at DCC? How did folks take to your booth? Especially with your guest artists?
OUTLAND JEROME: "The response been very good, there were 15000 people on the first day. The activity in the booth was received great by the audience and they loved the live painting from JPK, Reetneet and Emilio Garcia. We made good sales and def. let new people meet the coolness of the Designer Toy."
TOYSREVIL: What would you say was the most "successful" art toy / character at the show?
OUTLAND JEROME: "Emilio’s Brain Heart and the Live painted sculpt by Jon Paul Kaiser in our booth, I cant say in general as I was mostly in the Outland Booth. DIY figures were also loved by many, customizing is still appealing to many."
TOYSREVIL: What did you think of the first ever Dutch Comic Con? Would you set-up shop again next year?
OUTLAND JEROME: "Def would set up shop again next year, the dutch comic con was a great first one and looking forward to next year for sure!"
TOYSREVIL: Am I to assume pieces unspoken for at DCC will be made available online at Outland?
OUTLAND JEROME: "YES! Some is left and some already available on the website. The Church-ill 16” DCC exclusive red edition bust is now available. Also the Brain Heart where we have 3 pcs left of is now online available. The Timber by Cheamy Chums x Reetneet is now online (4 left).
All the Guardians of the Lost and Damned and the left tshirts and print sets will be available as of Thursday 19:00 amsterdam time"
