#throwbackthursday: VILLAINS for #superherosunday by #TeamIllo
Back in 2011, I had "recruited" a team of illustrators (dubbed #TeamIllo) to help illustrate a series of "Top Ten" lists I'd made - specifically related to "VILLAINS", done for my #superherosunday (dedicated weekend geekery on the blog :p), for which two features were published:
TOP TEN COMIC-BOOK VILLAINS IN CHIBI FORM and TOP TEN COMIC BOOK VILLAINS BY NICK TALBOT X TEAM ILLO.

WHAT-IS:
"A fine group of gents and a lady answered a Call For Artists, and together they tackle the insanity of Top Ten Lists on TOYSREVIL by focusing their ill-skills at illustration on the characters featured - but with a task-twist. This is the inaugural debut of the works of TEAM ILLO and the task for today is: Interpret the Comic-Book Villains in the list; in CHIBI-Form!" (READ HERE)
WHAT-IS:
"Working Team Illo hard for this weekend, we have a second Top-Ten List - this time tapping on the words and memories of guest writer Nick Talbot, and his favorite comic-book villains! The references might seem daunting to some young'uns but hell, it tugs at my comicbook-lurving core …aaawww… The illo-task for this cycle, was to interpret the characters as they were Anime and/or Manga characters!" I'd actually conceived a slew of #Top10s since, but never gone beyond "plans" and thereby languishing the interests of a group of talented artists, whereby in THIS current age would be even harder to find, IMHO ... but it was HELLA FUN tho! Anybody still keen for a "revival"? :)
Featured below are my own sketches (done predominantly to plug missing artists actually ... #truestory), which through the years had been one of my few finished fully colored projects to show for LOL
