Hellboy: Movie Still & Lobster Johnson in 1/12th Seen @ DCON2018
The above image newly released from the HELLBOY feature film (starring David Harbour as the titular "Hellboy") quite frankly does not endear itself to me, with the obviously painted-on torso a massive put off and looking immediately disproportionate to his teeny legs, IMHO .... but of course I am adopting the role of a "armchair critic" ripping apart an online image of a beloved cult-geek character ... an image which I still personal feel might not do the movie "justice"? Or at least the expectations we might have for it ...
On the other spectrum of "disposable pop culture consumption" (that which has inevitably become our lives), 1000toys showcased the third articulated 1/12th figure to be joining their HELLBOY and ABE SAPIAN (done for Dark Horse Direct): With LOBSTER JOHNSON sculpt looking snazzy in his Mike Mignola-aesthetics, at the recently concluded DesignerCon 2018!
