TOYSREVIL @ #Tetsujin2019 (@ SingPost Centre, Singapore / Ends today February 24th)

I'd chanced upon the TETSUJIN 2019 event held a SingPost Centre and snapped a few images to share - on my Instagram (slideshows embedded here), with the full array since uploaded on Facebook!

Essentially a "hobby-kit" focus event, the exhibiting features a Competition, kit sales, and what I thought was pretty interesting (I am not into this particular scene+culture, so do pardon my ignorance), was the inclusion of materials for modellers (paint etc), and the inclusion of "fan art" by way of illustrators Joshua Darrah (of Australia) and David Liew (aka Choco Falcon)! There is even a "game" corner where folks have a chance to score some sweet merch and toys with "ICHIBAN KUJI" (I certainly do regret not playing it yesterday tho... :p).

SWIPE THRU TO VIEW:

Organized/hosted by Hobby Art Gallery, the annual event launched on February 18th, with today February 24th being the last day of the event, so sort yourselves out, and head to their Facebook page to update yourselves on what is available at the event!

"Following the successes of Tetsujin 2017 and 2018, there is hardly any reason why we shouldn't go for the treble. Of course, all of these cannot be achieved without the amazing support from all the participants and customers. So to recap, (if you do not know by now), what is Tetsujin?

Tetsujin (鉄人) is "Iron Man" in Japanese. Well, not so much of the Iron Man you see in the movies but more generic. At Team Hobby Art, we came up with the idea of a competition that embraces all mecha based builds, i.e. Gundam, Frame Arms, Zoids, Macross, Five Stars Stories and many more.

And through this competition, we hope to create more awareness, improve the standards of the craft and also equipping hobbyists with the know-hows to pursue their passion, competitively or non-competitively.

"We want to make a difference in this hobby"

That is our sole motivation for this event. Everyone deserves to enjoy this hobby. So this brings all like-minded folks together to mingle, share and discuss about this hobby. Beginners or veterans, there is no division or rank, just pure, genuine interest and raw passion.

So once again, show us your skills, passion and love for the hobby!"
