SYNOPSIS: "When Shadow Moon is released from prison, he meets the mysterious Mr. Wednesday and a storm begins to brew. Little does Shadow know, this storm will change the course of his entire life. Left adrift by the recent, tragic death of his wife, and suddenly hired as Mr. Wednesday’s bodyguard, Shadow finds himself in the center of a world that he struggles to understand. It’s a world where magic is real, where the Old Gods fear both irrelevance and the growing power of the New Gods, like Technology and Media. Mr. Wednesday seeks to build a coalition of Old Gods to defend their existence in this new America, and reclaim some of the influence that they’ve lost. As Shadow travels across the country with Mr. Wednesday, he struggles to accept this new reality, and his place in it."
I've always held back my desire to rewatch the first season (Since it's broadcast in 2017) - not for the lack of want, because this series was and is important to me and what I feel have waited to see on screen all these years without knowing I needed to - simply because I'd worried the longing for Season 2 might break me (#truestory) ... but no worries, looks like I can rewatch S1 now, as we could do to S2's premiere in a week's time! I am hella more excited about this than anyone imagines, thanks :)
Season Two comprises of 8 episodes (as did the first season). My favourite characters of the series thus far goes to the undead Laura Moon (played by Emily Browning AKA "Baby Girl" in "Sucker Punch") and Mad Sweeney (played by Pablo Schreiber - who definitely is too huge to be "Leprechaun" - yes I am profiling :p).
