TOKYO TRIBE IWAO from Santastic! x How2Work as a Soft Vinyl Toy

TOKYO TRIBE's "IWAO" (from HANDS of Shindyuku) is launched (since April 5th) as a Soft Vinyl figure from Santa Inoue, available for online purchase here (USA Orders only) and here (Domestic Japan & International orders), with this (approx.) 8.6" tall x 5.7" wide PVC figure priced at US$125 / ¥14,580.


Made by How2Work from Hong Kong, this certainly was a surprise find on my social media feeds, and quite a flashback too!


And while I've never been a huge fan of the character "Iwao" (having not even considered grabbing the 1/6th version from Medicom Toy decades back :p), I can understand the allure of the character's make-shift armour, and of the possibilities of his tunic and accessories (check out that shiny-chrome kabuto!), and works pretty well in this "super-deformed" design, and would make an awesome companion to 2008's "Kai" (Buy on Amazon for US$65), IMHO. And remembered when Iwao's likeness was that of Ice Cube's? :p
