Yesterday we featured the JANKY SERIES TWO designs reveals for Super Plastic's newly launched Kickstarter (*Who has since been funded 1000% at time of this post, actually) .... today instead we take a closer look at the "WORK & PLAY" 12-inch Vinyl Toy from GUGGIMON, that is a part of the Kickstarter "VINYL TOY MADNESS Pack" and above) - available for US$240, or you can add US$75 to your pack pledge.
This colorway is limited to Kickstarter Backers. And while there is no word otherwise, I'd expect a different colorway(s) to be made available after the KS ends...perhaps?
GUGGIMON moves forward with this evolved version of his bunny-eared and masked FASHION GUGGI SuperJanky (Since sold out on superplastic.co, to somewhat parallel German artist Mark Gmehling's long-limbed aesthetic narrative of his oft seen animated character designs (seen here, and at the start of the below launch video) for Super Plastic. Complete with axe and printed Gucci-bag, I'm liking what I am seeing here, actually. In addition, GUGGIMON also has TWO as-yet-revealed "chase" 3.5-inch tall Janky in Series 2 (Ratio 1/96 and the Super Chase 1/192), AND a ultra-limited 5-FOOT GUGGIMON JANKY OMG! = So that's a whole lot of toy-love right there :)
This "non-Janky" particular vinyl collectible is also somewhat parallel to Pete Fowler's "MAXIMILLION CA$H" Kickstarter-release for 2018 - Which I reviewed a third non-Kickstarter colorway for HERE - do you see the pattern forming now? Hopefully this "modus operandi" remains, so folks might not miss out on the collectible, even if they don't fully back the Kickstarter now (*be it financially or otherwise, like I did when Maximillian Cash came out then. There is no shame in that, IMHO).
