COARSE x Mercedes Benz for Culture Cartel 2019 / Possession @ Rotofugi (Nov 9-Dec 1)

@culturecartelcon has announced that @coarselife & @mercedesbenzsg "will join forces to create something larger than life", for the coming year-end Culture Cartel 2019 (Dec 6-8)!
UPDATED: "This weekend we are coming to Singapore, and we can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on.

We will be exhibiting at @culturecartelcon, a three-day event at the F1 Pit Building showcasing art and street culture from around the world. We’re bringing an exclusive vinyl release as well some of our latest LA-made original sculptures, and in collaboration with @mercedesbenzsg we have designed a gravity-defying art installation that interacts with a CLA-class car.

Mark will also be speaking on panels and getting to know coarse collectors. Come visit us at booths A9 and A10—we can’t wait to see you."

UPDATED:

Since my last blog-announcement, a new animated visual has been unleashed to tease folks with (see above), I wonder how they will collaborate and adapt+cater to each of their own brands - with Mercedes Benz's collaboration with Joshua Vides for last year's event still black-n-white-fresh in mind, and is this coarse's first "brand collaboration"?

Meanwhile, here's a re-look at the result of Joshua Vides' collaboration with Mercedes Benz for Culture Cartel 2018:

#MercedesBenz urban art installation at #CultureCartel2018 features @joshuavides’ turning a A-Class Lux Benz from @mercedesbenzsg into what hits me like a blast-from-the-past with Aha!’s “Take On Me”! (Shows my age lah, dammit but I don’t care Muahahahahaha). Look for this at the F1 Pit Building (Dec 1-2) for #CultureCartel2018 (ticketed entry / avail. At door on site / @culturecartelcon for deets)... and don’t miss the spider on the bonnet! I reckon it would be pretty dope if folks wearing black and white could take snaps next to the car tho - BUT hey, I don’t know for sure if you can or not, so better ask first just in case! I utterly regret not asking for a selfie last night (Nov 30th Media Preview) when these pics were snapped :) Click on hashtag #evilcartel for more of my IG coverage of the inaugural edition of #CultureCartel!
