KUROBOKAN @ BigBigCon 2019
Featured here are images for @kurobokan's booth at the inaugural BigBigCon 2019 (Nov 2-3), which featured the combined might of Eric Christian AKA @eric_noah, and visiting from Indonesia - Toy customiser extraordinaire: @mrkumkum - who has since been inducted into Kurobokan-family!
On show and available were a variety of Kurobokan-produced predominantly canine-themed products, including custom pieces by Eric (who did the "DÃa de Muertos" themed-inspired pieces), while Mr Kum Kum had hand-painted a quartet of MURDOG THE BULLDOG (by Rendy Pranata) in a new color palette previously not known for - featuring SILVER, as opposed to his gold-on-black.
What intrigued me quite a bit, was the collaboration GWEN THE CORGI with Thailand-based toy designer @kaze_tee, with this figure previously released at Taipei Toy Festival 2019, but not much seen nor mentioned, at least in my socials... quite a treat to see this in person, and if I had my way, would've gladly aded this to my humble collection :)
Spotted at the bottom display were two custom-painted M.I.R.A. featuring @deri637's resin figures, since made available available online (since SOLD OUT). Then there were the jelly-bean Gwens, with a whole container full! The clear glossy resin lil'bean-sized figures looked, yes, YUMMY!
But who could NOT notice the SUPERSIZED GWEN! Of course I HAD to ask Eric to model the cutie! The entire life-sized collectible is to be in vinyl, and while unpainted in this event, had been seen fully painted circa Urban Sneaker Society 2019! IU had a great chat with him about "Gwen" - who had been named after "Gwen Stacy" from the "Spiderman"-comics!
