Since announcing the cancellation of this year's SDCC, the official Twitter for Comic Con has tweeted the above video, with the hashtag #ComicConAtHome. No further announcements since their May 9th tweet though ... I am personally intrigued to see how it will adapt and translate a physical convention experience, to a online arena in which we/us geeks all dwell in, in the first place (Likewise for TTE). No official date has been announced for SDCC @ Home too tho...
For sure the MEDIA aspect could mean multiple projects being announced and screened (then across multiple media platforms a day afters, perhaps? :p) even tho cinematic releases is a problem (there's still tv omg), and perhaps even exclusive purchasing opportunities via their dedicated platforms (instead of just heading straight to the vendors, like any other day :p), and more likely "live" videos chatting with creators/actors, ala media project panels ...
The world we live in now consists of ZOOM multiple-person video chants (which I've never tried LOL), and (pre-paid) virtual livestream K-Pop concerts, with more and more people converting to this life(style), and a cyber eco-system waiting to be tapped, as they have been in use for the last few decades already, IMHO. I am pretty interested to see how the "big boys" do it though ... along with the Online Edition of Thailand Toy Expo :)
